Are You Hydrated?
Dehydration can have a significant negative impact on work out performance, so make sure to always stay hydrated for optimal riding performance. There are two easy ways to monitor your hydration levels:
1) "Do not let your urine get too yellow". By checking the color of your urine output you can gauge if you are hydrating properly. If it's dark or very colorful, you need to hydrate.
2) Another check is to weigh yourself before and after your workout. Make sure you replenish the lost fluid by drinking water. A rough guideline is to drink about an ounce for each pound you weigh.
Also, keep in mind it's better to sip throughout the day than to chug a lot in a short period of time!
